App navigation: Risk → Threat
The Threat module maintains a catalog of threats that could harm your organization’s assets. Threats are linked to risks via the ATVEC Mapping step in the Risk Register.
Screen Layout #
Navigate to Risk → Threat to open the Threat Inventory screen – a grid-based layout listing all defined threats with their status and associated details.

Creating a Threat #
- Select + on the toolbar.
- Enter the threat details:
- Name – a descriptive name for the threat scenario.
- Type – the high-level classification of the threat.
- Category – the sub-category within the selected type.
- Catalogue – the threat catalogue this entry belongs to.
- Reference Id – an optional external reference identifier.
- Identified On – the date the threat was identified.
- Event Id – an optional identifier for a related security event.
- Description – a detailed description of the threat scenario.
- Source – free-text field describing the origin of the threat.
- Save the threat record.
Linking Threats to Risks #
Threats are linked to Risk Register entries via the Add Threat button available on the Create Risk wizard, and via the ATVEC Mapping step. A single threat can be linked to many different risk records without re-entering the data.
